It's set on the Oregon Coast, and everything is very low-key in Elliot's life until one of the grandmas from town is found dead and her grandson is kidnapped. Soon the other first-born grandsons of the local coffee club start disappearing one by one and Elliot knows time is running out for this story to have a happy ending.

THE MISFORTUNE OF THE EMERALD THIEF is my middle-grade adventure set in modern-day Seattle and starring the awesome bubbliciously magical kids, Denim the Bubble Ranger and his sister Ravenna the Time Bender, as the newest Keepers of the Emerald Cave. The entire Pacific Northwest is depending on them!

This novel was a blast to write! I love the magical bubbles and the time bending and the interaction of the River family and all of the characters they meet along the way. I even totally love my bad guy, Ladarius. Please enjoy, and be sure to tell your friends!
