I won a book!!

What an exciting way to drop-kick myself back into my writing life -- this morning Chuck Sambuchino of the blog Guide to Literary Agents emailed to let me know I won THE COMET'S CURSE, book 1 of the YA science fiction Galahad Series by Dom Testa.

It was a simple leave-a-comment-and-try-your-luck, but considering I do this all the time and haven't won anything yet, this was pretty cool news. I really like the cover of this book because the boy is Asian and I really feel more diversity is better, especially in literature. My three children are all Chinese, while my husband and I are not, so this is something I think about quite a bit. Also, my own Elliot Lake who stars in my adult mystery series, is of Chinese descent, and I always wonder if there will be room on the bookshelves for his gorgeous face.

So it is Monday, my sinus-headache-from-hell really is gone, my children are all safely back in school, and all of this means one thing -- time to get back to work.

Well, and packing and moving and all of that.... *gag*
Anybody want to help me do that? I have coffee!!!
